Photography and Life
I don’t pretend to call myself a photographer; I simply love capturing photos, and my list of gear continues to grow: whether it’s my beloved Fuji X100T, new favorite 35mm Canon EOS ELAN II, Canon 50D, a refurbished Polaroid, or (most often) my iPhone, I’m constantly searching for the best image – through composition, light, or just the right moment. Of course I’m painfully aware that this medium has become so oversaturated with the rise of image-driven social media and better cameras in phones, but I still love this art.
These are some shots from over the years I enjoyed capturing – or if you see me in them, it’s a glimpse into my life over the years: work, family, friends…
And several years ago, I had the opportunity to capture some shots of Detroit-based band, Jamaican Queens, for a local music magazine called Detroit Music Mag. Shot on location in Hamtramck, MI, where the bandmates roomed together.
