Chevrolet Complete Care 2.0
Bar none, one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever produced. Working from our Detroit office, my other Commonwealth team members were based in Singapore and Bangkok, so endless emails and conference calls between midnight and 5am my time were common occurrences. Fortunately, I was often feeding my newborn daughter at 4am, so knocking out a few emails seemed to make sense.
We had an incredible quantity of long-form videos to produce for very little money. Seven stories recreated for six global markets; four different languages requiring translation: English, Thai, Korean, and Arabic.
We shot 10 x 12hr days on location in Cape Town, South Africa on shoestring budget, and I called in every favor possible for help on post and music.
These are four of the final 38 videos we finished.
Takeaways from this job:
-continue to treat my vendors with respect, and they’ll be there when I need them
-never Skype casting callbacks for foreign languages/performances
-there’s a stark difference in Arabic between “classical” translation and “conversational” translation"
-cage diving with great white sharks: checked that box

GLOBAL RUNNING FOOTAGE – 2015
Running footage package captured on location in Buenos Aires, Argentina in the spring of 2015.
Vehicles were updated in post via CGI to be made product correct for 10 global markets (5 months of heavy vfx post production). 25 x 2-minute unique reels were delivered at the finish of the project.
